Wonderful Baptisms and a Merry Christmas!

December 5, 2011

Well, I guess this will be my next letter to everyone. I haven't really done one in a while. I wonder if anyone ever keeps good track of these?
So this past week we baptised the two daughters of Marcella! It was awesome and they both chose me to give the talks. lol Both the Baptism and the Holy Ghost topics. That was interesting. They both felt the spirit surround them through the metting and ordinance, and they were so excited when they finally emerged from the font. It's so cool because both of them remind me a lot of my sister. Miss ya!!!
Teaching them was always a blast! They would apply everything thay learned right on the spot! I've never seen investigators do anything like this before! When we taught Marcella about the Word Of Wisdom, she actually got up in the middle of the lesson and pulled all of her tea out of her cupboards and threw it away in front of us!  And her daughters. When they were taught the law of tithing, they paid it right on the spot in the middle of our lesson! This is how it should be when investigators want to learn and know and put 100% effort into their faith and knowledge of the savior! These guys are awesome!
We also have some funny instances at thier house too. Like Elder Sims snot rocket, and Elder Hall's belt. (The buckle broke during a blessing and his belt fell to the floor.) Nothing else fell though, thank goodness! It was sooo funny!
Being with the Zone Leaders I've got to learn alot! Our zone has some pretty funny characters in it. Elder Larabee (nickname: Laserbeam) Was an actor in college and he does THE BEST Jack Sparrow impersonation! And Elder Mieners (Soul Miner) talks and acts like yogi bear. They both had an idea of a Live Action Role Play scenario for P-Day. It's kind of like a dungeons and dragons kind of thing. Except you live it. So now a lot of missionaries have things called LARPing swords in their apartments (PVC pipe surrounded with foam). We have sword fights to keep ourselves from getting fat. lol  But recently we have a member that teaches karate, and he lended me some kickboxing gloves, so I've been practicing with Sims (he's got the sword and I've got the gloves) It's really hard, but I'm getting my blocks in! Speaking of which Sims goes home in 2 days! I wish him well! Take care buddy!
On top of that we actually got to go to Bok Tower the other day! (Remember Lake Wales?) So I got to go into the exotic and beautiful gardens that I wanted to see so badly! And the best part was, the members in Winter Haven loved us so much that they got us in for free!!! Our whole zone! It was fun! I'll send you all pictures of it sometime!
